I believe that creating compelling experiences using human centered design requires nuance in balancing needs, expectations and and constraints along with co-creation.
A lot of my work in finance has been in the area of designing enterprise level applications. With a unique user base the challenges become very different in designing than from the retail side of finance. Finding the sweet spot in understanding needs/requirements while interacting with large volumes of data without overloading the cognitive experience becomes a craft in itself. While the design process is agnostic, the key lies in tailoring that same process for effective outcomes.
I love being a practicing designer in the industry while teaching at The New School / Parsons University as its provides me with with a complementary relationship.
I hold an MA in Media Studies from The New School and a BFA in Exhibition Design-Visual Communication from National Institute of Design.
